East Winds Resort History
The original owners of East Winds were Richard & Margaret Egerer about 50 years ago. Margaret was a botanist who loved the many rainforest plants on the property and gradually tamed them into garden. With her talent for grafting fruit trees and nurturing difficult-to-cultivate plants, Margaret took the first step towards the development of the beautiful garden as it is now.

The skin is smooth and green when unripe, transitioning to yellow or orange when ripe. The flesh is thick, juicy, and ranges in color from yellow to salmon-pink. Inside, a large cavity contains numerous round, black seeds.
