East Winds Resort History
The original owners of East Winds were Richard & Margaret Egerer about 50 years ago. Margaret was a botanist who loved the many rainforest plants on the property and gradually tamed them into garden. With her talent for grafting fruit trees and nurturing difficult-to-cultivate plants, Margaret took the first step towards the development of the beautiful garden as it is now.

EAST WINDS GARDEN
MANGOES - A mango is a tropical stone fruit, botanically a drupe, native to South Asia and now grown widely worldwide, known for its sweet, juicy flesh. Ripe mangoes are typically oval or kidney-shaped, with a smooth, thin skin that can range in color from yellow to green, red, or a combination of these. The flesh is soft, juicy, and yellow-orange in color. Inside the fruit is a large, hard, inedible pit (or stone) containing a single seed.
